DALI is a groundbreaking fiber optic pipeline monitoring system that combines leak detection, asset management, and smart network integration into a single solution. Using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), DALI continuously scans pipelines for leaks and intrusions with real-time accuracy up to 5 meters—even on plastic pipes—across distances up to 40 km. By embedding a fiber optic cable within the pipeline, the system transforms it into a network of thousands of acoustic sensors. The result: reduced water losses, extended pipeline lifespan, fewer bursts, and more efficient maintenance. DALI works with all pipe materials, diameters, and type, and can be installed without interrupting pipeline service. In addition to monitoring, DALI enables utility operators to create high-capacity data networks using unused optical fibers for connecting sensors, valves, or even partnering with telecom providers.

FermaliQ oxidation filter systems from Grünbeck AG are a unique combination of several process stages and a special filter layer in one compact water treatment system.
The biggest advantage of the system is its ecological operation without the use of any chemicals. Degassing and oxidation take place by spraying and aeration. This effectively reduces odorous substances such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonium; in addition, the pH value is increased by eliminating free and therefore aggressive carbonic acid. Iron, manganese and other impurities are then removed by several filter layers. Regeneration takes place automatically by backwashing with treated water. The device does not require constant maintenance and has very low operating costs.

The ionliQ demineralization system can remove both anions and cations. The demineralization performance is adjustable and the energy consumption (0.5 to 1.0 kWh/m3) is many times lower compared to reverse osmosis (3 to 4 kWh/m3). In this process, there is usually no need to pre-treat the water by softening or dosing antiscalant. The system technology used is simple and robust.
